* Files of the F6 GNU-Forth-collection GF6 * 2.12.1996 (C) .hpr 1996 Berlin * * H.-Peter Recktenwald, D-12159 Bln, Albestr. 21; inet: phpr@berlin.snafu.de "GF6" is a collection of files distributed under the terms and conditions of the GNU free software license, in the version supplied and transposed to german text - which doesn't deviate from the original that much, just read the preface to "F6WORDS_txt". As I do promise not a thing there is no warranty on anything related to F6, GF6 and any accompanying work, text, code nor data. * First time loading / Upgrading: The files GF6{aa}{vvv}, where {aa} is the archive as mentioned below and {vvv} is the version string, contain the complete distribution. GF6{vvv}A is the archive of all those archives. GF6UP{vvv} contains just what is needed for replacement to upgrad to the version of {vvv}. If more than one such file present you'll need to load all of them beginning with the 1st version above the one you already posess. With ANY version you might need to re-compile the .._4th-files. * Contents 712K Archive "LR" : QF tiny model sources by Laurence Reeves 1991(?) 1157K Archive "T1" : Documents 375K Archive "T2" : reference texts to be read with the F6 editor "F6ED" 698K Archive "GF" : the F6 experimental 64K f.i.g.-style forth system 1325K Archive "AP" : applications and sources * Preface Just to prevent you getting disappointed by what you get with those files, this as I always thought that there are many good 4th's around there for any kind of host cpu's, which are highly portable, standardish and well documented by texts written in the english language, is an implementation highly specialized for the Sinclair QL (and its derivatives) with its 680xx operating systems of QDOS and SMSQ (or SMSQ/E) and comprensively explained by texts written in the german language, because those seemed not to exist at all (there is some english and hopefully sufficient documentation also). It also was made up preferably for the novice to Forth with many features and safety precautions an 'experienced' programmer might like to dispense with, at the cost of executional speed. Nevertheless the F6 system worked out to be fairly competitive with regard to speed and versatility also. Give it a try, and, plese, give me some feedback to possibly improove on the one I'm working on, which is going to be a "real"-time praeemptive multi-tasking rom-able system. * File affices .._txt plain (QL-)ascii, lines terminated with a single , 10; .._asm also; .._gls plain (QL-)ascii with no ctrl's at all, lines formatted to 64 bytes boundaries ready for f6ed or any other standard forth blockfile editor; .._scr forth sources, screenfiles to the same specifications. .._seq forth sources, textfiles, lines terminated by . .._4th compiled forth code ready to {c-load}. .. (no affix) executable f6 jobs. .._byt code to be loaded as resident extensions to the host system. * 712K Directory/Archive "lr" : QF sources by Laurence Reeves 1991(?). This is the minimal f.i.g. forth installation as handed over to the author of F6 by L.Reeves some years ago. If you like a very small kernal with no more than 6K of size, 64K address space, and some extra features already built in, have a look at those files, which are excellent examples to memory efficient and still reasonably fast 4th programming. As I lost the original files, pse, bear in mind that this is NOT the ORIGINAL code and text passed to me by their author! Thus anything which does not work or prooves to be false may be blamed on me and on no one else. * 1157K Directory/Archive "t1" : Documents t1_GNU_txt GNU License t1_GNU-G_txt ditto, german t1_F6WORDS_txt full system description & glossary, german (& english) t1_FORTH_txt short system description & glossary, updated, english t1_JOBKEY_txt feature description, german t1_GF808_txt notes on recent versions, german t1_forth_asm F6 assembler source, comments (mostly) english t1_keypoll_asm "JOBKEY" assembler source as used for F6 -keys t1_ZUVOR_txt - dieser Text, deutsch (k„nnte etwas veraltet sein) - t1_GF6READ.ME - this text, this text - * 375K Directory "t2" : reference texts to be read with the F6 editor "F6ED" t2_GNU_txt t2_GNU-G_txt t2_bh_gls finace accounting program, deutsch t2_as_gls 6800x assembler t2_ed_gls Editor description & glossary, english t2_ed_gls_g .. deutsch t2_f6_gls F6 assembler glossary, deutsch t2_as_gls_e .. english t2_z80_gls Z80 disassembler (with simple tracing) * 698K Directory "gf" : the F6 experimental forth system gf_GNU_txt gf_GNU-G_txt gf_fig_scr extended, f.i.g.-style screen editor gf_x \ example files gf_y )for {chain} and {end} gf_z / (copy y & z to ram1_, and try CHAIN flp1_x) gf_f6as F6-assembler (job) gf_forth_scr common screenfile library gf_ansext_scr words to achieve ANS-Forth compliance gf_f6asm_scr source of the F6 assembler gf_f6task_scr single 4th-words QDOS-multi-tasker gf_f6task_4th compiled tasker lo-level words, for {c-load} gf_QF F6 kernal-job gf_f6ed F6 editor-job, for files of up to 1M in _any_ QL. gf_msg_scr (this is where F6ED fetches its helpscreen from) gf_JOBKEY_byt provides part of the F6 -key functionality gf_PEX20_byt QDOS system extension, hidden refresh on buried windows gf_dvs_byt F6-founts supporting QDOS system extension (after pex20) gf_f6xco_scr some lo-level-definitions (256K-software-stacks, ..) * 1325K Directory "ap" : applications and sources ap_GNU_txt ap_GNU-G_txt ap_sintab_seq {chain}- and {case:} example ap_hanoi_scr "Towers of Hanoi" ap_f6hnoi ditto, executable job ap_bh_scr Kontokorrentbuchhaltung (not working with vers. 8...) ap_kt_scr Kontendefinitionen dazu ap_msg_scr Texte dazu ap_msg_dat kurze Textdatei, wird vom Job ggf. bevorzugt geladen ap_f6bh old, functional, version of the accounting program ap_cc00_jur empty list for "f6bh" to start with ap_f6z80_scr Z80 disassembler source ap_f6a80_scr lo-level words for the Z80 disassembler ap_f6a80_4th the pre-compiled lo-level words ap_z80d executeable Z80 disassembler job ap_ZX81dis_scr z80d example screenfile, ZX81 rom disassembly ap_H4DIS_scr z80d example screenfile, H-Forth disassembly ap_ZX81_H4TH_fnt QDOS-fount for the Husband ZX81-Forth system ap_ZX81_rom_fnt ZX81-style character fount for QDOS * The following most probably will not be included due to copyright reasons, * unless it was left by the copyright holders to non-commercial private use. ap_ZX81_H4TH Husband-Forth rom ap_ZX81_rom ZX81 rom » .hpr'96 » eof »
